Davenport's Figge Art Museum opened to the public in 2005, boasting an impressive collection of art pieces to display. Originally the Davenport Municipal Art Gallery, the center educated the community from 1925 to its renovation in 2005. Today its collection include more than 3,500 paintings, sculptures and other pieces which are found in its new facility. The gallery is open every day except Monday at 11am.
Containing both permanent and rotating exhibits, the Putnam Museum of History and Natural Science in Davenport seeks to enlighten people on the evolution of the world, animals and people. Inside the series of displays walk visitors through world history. Also inside is an Imax theater, a gift shop and a discovery room with hands on displays.
